  • Vice President Marketing

    SpectorSoft is currently seeking a head of Marketing who will lead its global marketing team. Reporting to the CEO, this individual will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive and compelling marketing, branding and communications strategy to increase visibility and drive the growth of the business. This individual will plan, organize and manage all strategic marketing functions, including: lead generation, product positioning, communications, branding, and campaign development. As a key member of the senior management team reporting to the CEO, this individual will help drive the vision and strategy for the company and play a major role in its growth.

    SpectorSoft is looking for a Marketing leader who does not believe their job is done when the lead is loaded into the CRM for Sales to follow up on. This high-impact opportunity involves both strategic and day-to-day activities driving the overall performance of the company’s marketing organization. The ideal candidate will have recent experience leading all aspects of marketing for a smaller, growing B2B software company.

    Responsibilities:

    • Own all marketing activities including lead generation, branding, communications, public relations and campaign development.
    • Lead the cross-functional planning and coordination required to position the company and its product and service offerings.
    • Develop a marketing strategy and implement a corresponding marketing plan that includes updating the company’s messaging architecture, product packaging, collateral materials, web site, product launches, sales training and tools, webinars, search engine.
    • optimization, search engine marketing, trade show participation and social media strategies.
    • Conceptualize, create and develop campaign tracking, lead generation and conversion tools and processes.
    • Work closely with Sales to insure that lead conversion rates are optimized.
    • Manage partner / channel marketing activities.
    • Manage the marketing budget.
    • Lead, develop and mentor the marketing team.

    Prerequisites:

    • Experience in the software space, with security software experience strongly preferred.
    • Four year degree or equivalent experience, advanced degree preferred.
    • 4+ years management experience.
    • Strong leadership skills, outstanding execution, excellent communicator and a team player.
    • Innovative thinker capable of operating both in a strategic capacity and a hands-on/execution capacity.
    • 7+years progressive marketing experience in B2B.
    • Experience supporting sales organizations in a growth environment is preferred.
    • Strong track record of lead generation and increasing sales opportunities.
    • Experience with Marketing Automation programs and CRM systems (salesforce.com).
    • Successful track record in growth oriented environments.
    • Willing to travel as needed – experience presenting at Trade Shows and events a strong plus.

    SpectorSoft is looking for a creative Front-End Developer / Designer with 4+ years of experience to join the internal marketing team. The ideal candidate will strive to achieve business goals through creative thinking and detail-oriented production.

    Responsibilities (But not limited to):

    • Plan, wireframe, and design digital user interfaces and websites
    • Code designs into interactive prototypes and production-ready websites, including mobile-friendly responsive design
    • Code to web standards and keep up-to-date with new technologies and trends
    • Update and maintain existing websites, including content updates, visual enhancements, landing page creation, and performance profiling/optimization

    Qualifications (Required):

    • Expert in front-end programming (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) including responsive design
    • Expert understanding of progressive enhancement, graceful degradation, and cross-browser support
    • Strong design, typographical and interactive skills
    • High attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills

    • Accountability to forecasting, prospecting and pipeline building and achievement of quota.
    • Achieve a target goal of customer contacts per day, utilizing out bound calls to prospects and current customers.
    • Execute or coordinate webinar resources, product demonstrations and evaluations for partners and customers.
    • Maintain a high level of knowledge of SpectorSoft solutions while understanding the competitive environment and industry trends.
    • Demonstrate the features and benefits while tailoring the message to the specific customer's needs.
    • Maintain accurate customer/prospect database using SalesForce.com.
    • Act as a trusted resource to your partners, supporting them in both pre and post sales situations.
    • Actively participate in team meetings, share ideas for success and use experience to brainstorm out of the box strategies.

    Qualifications (Required):

    • The individual must have 3+ years professional experience in direct B2B sales or selling through the channel.
    • Proven track record of prospecting, accurate forecasting, building a sales pipeline and achievement of quota.
    • Ability to achieve sales goals while maintaining a focus on the customers and partners in your territory. Motivated to hit the number.
    • Energetic self-starter who engages customers, prospects and partners with a consultative sales approach.
    • Strong time and account management skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience with CRM required. SalesForce.com preferred.
    • Experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook & Word).

    Qualifications (Preferred/Plus):

    • Technology sales experience is a plus.
    • Experience in software, specifically security software is a plus.
    • Bilingual—Spanish or French is a plus.
