Spector Professional Edition builds on the automatic and stealth snapshot recording capabilities of Spector by now capturing and recording emails, chat conversations, instant messages and keystrokes typed. In addition, Spector Professional Edition has built-in intelligence that detects suspicious activities and immediately notifies one by sending an email alert.

Here is how the Instant Notification feature works:

You supply a list of words and phrases you want Spector Pro to watch out for. For example, as a parent, you want to make sure your children are not being solicited for sex, so you would include "sex", "what is your phone number", "where do you live", "are you alone", etc. Then, if any of this is typed in a chat conversation, in an email, or on a web site, Spector Pro will immediately notify you by email.

Schools that use Spector Pro can watch out for words and phrases like "bomb", "gun", "cheat".

Employers are primarily concerned about legal liability they may incur from their employees using company computers to conduct illicit activities, such as sexual harassment, sending company confidential information via email, or spreading rumors in anonymous chat and message boards. In addition, employers are concerned about loss of productivity due to spending company time on inappropriate web sites.
