Spector Pro Awarded The National Parenting Center's Seal of Approval

VERO BEACH, FL - May 25, 2008 - Spector Pro 2008, the world's best-selling PC and Internet Activity monitoring software from SpectorSoft Corporation, has been honored with The National Parenting Center's 2008 Seal of Approval for Computer Software.

Spector Pro 2008 is the latest and most robust version of the immensely popular and groundbreaking Spector, introduced by SpectorSoft nearly a decade ago. Using Spector Pro 2008, a concerned parent can guard against predators and cyber-bullies.

Spector Pro 2008 records every detail of what a child does on a computer: their chats, instant messages, emails, the web sites they visit, what they search for, what they do on MySpace, the pictures they post and look at, the keystrokes they type, the programs they run and much more. Further, with the monitoring program's advanced screen snapshot feature, parents can see not only what their child has done, but the exact order in which they have done it, step by step.

Spector Pro 2008 also has an advanced warning system designed to inform parents when a monitored PC has been used inappropriately. Through the use of keywords and phrases a parent can specify, Spector Pro 2008 can be placed "on alert", emailing the parent an immediate and detailed report of when, where, and how a keyword was used ... every time it is typed or appears on the PC, on a web site, in a chat/instant message, or in an email.

The National Parenting Center's product testing division is run by independent testers including parents, educators and panelists of The National Parenting Center. The testing of Spector Pro involved a multi-step process conducted over an eight-week period. The testing facility of The National Parenting Center gives parents, children, and educators the opportunity to examine a variety of submitted products in a hands-on environment. Each product is evaluated for its level of desirability, safety features, and other ingredients essential in the make-up of a quality product.

Spector Pro 2008 costs $99.95 and supports Windows Vista -- Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, and Ultimate -- whether a user has upgraded to Vista or received it pre-installed. Spector Pro 2008 also supports Windows XP Home or Professional, Windows 2000, and Windows NT.
