Spector 360 maintains File Storage folders for email attachment and screen snapshot files. In File Storage, there may be multiple data files for each Client containing the Snapshot events and email attachments for a given day.
During installation of the Spector 360 Database, you pointed to or created a folder for Spector 360 data storage (the default location is C:\Spector360Data). This is the location where the Data Vault Service will direct email attachment and screen snapshot data, and where the Database expects to find and retrieve attachments and snapshots when a Dashboard user requests them.
Files in these folders can be stored either encrypted or unencrypted. If the files are encrypted, they can only be opened and viewed through the Dashboard, which requires login and permission access to users. All Dashboard users will require "permission" to access and read files from this folder location. The Dashboard provides Management tools to easily create a common Dashboard "share. "By default, each Dashboard login has C$ Share access. You can create non-Administrative sharing to give the Dashboard users read-only access to specific folder(s).
