The Dashboard Management Folders Provide Database Management
|
Database
The Spector 360 Databases store the recorded data for the Dashboard to access for search, filtering and display. The Spector 360 Databases for the most part are self-maintaining and require no special database knowledge. A Master Login with Database Maintenance privileges can monitor the status of this data and manage disk space issues. Be sure you have a Dashboard installed on the Data Vault computer, because some operations can be performed only on the computer where the data resides. See the Database Management section in the Spector 360 Dashboard Guide.
A Master login with Database Maintenance Privileges can use the Management tool to manage the Database.
Jobs Management - Allows you to schedule, view the history, monitor status and keep track of run times for all database jobs.
Backup and Restore - Allows you to restore a backed up database and delete old backups.
Databases - Lists and supplies status for all Spector 360 Databases. This section allows you to view statistics and history and archive the STORAGE databases when they reach the maximum size.
Space Management - Allows you to set up automatic disk space management on the Data Vault / Database computer. You can automatically archive maximum size databases, delete archive sets, delete records in the database, delete snapshots, and/or delete backup sets.
Database Configuration - Allows you to manage memory and database settings, locations, backup destinations, and whether or not snapshot and email attachment files are backed up and restored.
File Storage Management - Lets you set the location of snapshot and email attachment folders and share them with Dashboard users.
