Document Tracking

The Client

The Client tracks document activity at local computers and on the network. Until you change the Document Tracking settings, the Client focuses on recording printing and document activity that involves a CD drive or removable media. Document Tracking allows you to determine who, when and what is happening to sensitive documents and how resources are being used.  

Document Tracking allows you to find out:

  • Who copied, deleted, or modified an important network document

  • If there has been movement of confidential documents

  • Whether intellectual property theft is occurring

  • How print resources are being used
