Troubleshooting
Various circumstances could cause Spector Client not to record Document Tracking events on the computer. Use the following to help you troubleshoot the most common problems.
Verify the Client configuration settings for the computer not recording that Document Tracking is enabled. See Configuring Document Tracking.
Verify the appropriate drive has document tracking enabled.
Verify the desired item (create files, rename, etc.) is enabled for the drive in question.
Verify that your File Name Filters are not preventing document tracking.
Document tracking is not supported on Windows 9x/ME.
If you are unable to get the Client to record after reviewing this troubleshooting section, you may need to send your Client log file along with additional information below to SpectorSoft for review. Please include the following information along with the log file:
Specific file types not being tracked
Any other information helpful in resolving the problem
