Manage Computers
The License Summary box displays the number of used, active, and reserved licenses assigned to a designated serial number. You can also add new serial numbers to increase the amount of Clients to monitor or register your existing serial number.
To view the License Summary:
From the Control Center, select the Manage Computers view.
From either the Action
menu or by right clicking Manage Computers,
select All Tasks and then select
License Summary.
Serial Number - Your SpectorSoft Serial Number.
Licenses - Number of Client licenses enabled for the serial number.
Used - Total licenses reserved or active; a Client does not actually have to be installed to be considered "used."
Active - Installed and actively recording.
Reserved - Reserved, but not installed.
In some circumstances you may have to add another serial number. Please contact SpectorSoft for help with this option. In most cases, you simply need to add more Client licenses to your current serial number to cover more computers. See Adding Client Licenses.
To add a serial number:
In the License Summary box, type or paste the serial number you have received from SpectorSoft next to Add Serial Number.
Click the Add button. The number is added to the Serial Number list.
A SpectorSoft serial number must be registered before you can access the licenses necessary to install Clients. You can register the serial number directly from the License Summary box.
To register a serial number:
In the License Summary Box, select the serial number to register from the list and click Register.
You can view exactly where Client licenses have been reserved and applied under the current serial number.
To view license details:
In the License Summary box, select the serial number to register from the list and click Details. A Serial Number Summary box appears.
Computer - Name of the computer.
State - The license on each computer is either Reserved or Active.
Last Refresh - Date and time the Client was installed at this computer.
