Use the Spector 360 Setup program to uninstall Server Components. Uninstall completely removes Spector 360 Server Components and/or the Dashboard from a computer. You may wish to uninstall to remove, move, or fully repair Server Components.  

If your goal is to move the Database from one computer to another, be sure to use the Dashboard Management's Full Backup function before proceeding.  Copy your backup folder to a location other than the default location:
\\...\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$SPECTOR360\...  
 

To uninstall Spector 360 components:

  1. Run sp360setup61.exe.
    Double-click the downloaded program icon or insert the CD in your CD drive to auto-start the Setup program. The Setup detects which Spector 360 components are installed.

  2. Uncheck the Reinstall Components option.
    The Setup program detects the components that are already installed, and marks them for uninstall by checking them.

  3. Select the components to uninstall.
    All Spector 360 Components    : Select this option to remove all components that have been installed.



    To uninstall one or more specific components:
    Deselect the All Components option and other components, leaving only those components checked that you wish to uninstall.  For example, to remove the Dashboard from a computer (leaving the Server Components in place), select only Dashboard.


     

To uninstall Spector 360 Databases (Microsoft SQL Server):

  1. If you have chosen to uninstall All Components, all the Server Components, or the Database, you are informed that Setup will uninstall Spector 360 Databases. Click Next.

  2. A prompt asks "Do you also want to remove all Spector 360 databases?"
    The \Data folder contains the data the database is currently using. The backup data is stored in a \Backup folder. Click Yes to permanently remove the databases.  If you select No you will exit the Setup program.

Click No if you want to perform a Backup before continuing. When the Setup program exits, open the Dashboard, select Management and Jobs. Right-click on Backup - Full and select Backup Now. Copy the \Backup folder to a non-default location. Then, start the Setup program again and respond Yes to the above prompt.

  1. A message asks you to confirm "Are you sure you want to uninstall this product?" Click Yes to continue with the uninstall. Wait as the Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine performs its own uninstall.

  2. When the Spector 360 Database changes have completed successfully, click Finish.
    You proceed to the Spector 360 Dashboard Uninstall.

To uninstall the Spector 360 Dashboard:

  1. If you have chosen to uninstall the Dashboard, click Next. Wait as the application is removed.

  2. Click Finish.

To uninstall Spector 360 Server Components:

  1. If you have chosen to remove any Server Components, a prompt asks if you are sure. Click Yes to begin. Wait as the components are removed.

  2. Restart your computer. Check the Restart Computer Now box and click Finish.
