There are two modes in which Spector Pro can operate: Stealth and Visible. Although the default mode is Stealth, you can reset it to Visible during installation, or at any time after.
Stealth Mode - The ultra-secure cloaking system makes Spector Pro invisible and virtually impossible to detect. No unauthorized person will be able to gain access and change configurations, view or delete information, or uninstall the program.
When you choose to have Spector Pro operate in Stealth mode, the program does not appear in the system tray or in the list of Programs available when you click Start.
You must open the Viewer using the hotkey sequence.
Visible Mode - In this mode of operation, the program is visibly apparent. Not only will the monitored person know they are being monitored, they can discover the product and potentially disable it, uninstall it, or destroy the data files. This mode of operation is sometimes used for demonstration or testing purposes, or if you are monitoring only yourself.
When you choose to have Spector Pro operate in Visible mode, a red square appears in the system tray, and Spector Pro appears in the list of Programs available when you click Start.
You can open the Viewer using the hotkey sequence, by clicking the red square, or by selecting Spector Pro from the list of Programs.
To reset the mode:
From the Configure Security pane:
Set to Stealth Mode - By default, the program operates in the Stealth mode. Click to uncheck the box, and the mode of operation changes to Visible.
Click OK to save the changes you have made, or Cancel to remove them. The Settings window closes.
Next you will review Advanced
Security.
