Introduction to Keywords

What Are They and How Do They Work?

A keyword is a word or phrase that you want Spector Pro to detect and act on whenever it is typed in a program,  contained in a chat / IM or email, or appears in a web page or online search.

Use the keyword settings to:

Create or import a customized list of keywords. For every keyword configured, Spector Pro scans web site addresses (URLs), web site contents, keystrokes typed, emails sent and received, chat and instant messages looking for a match. All keywords detected are listed in the Keywords dropdown list in the Screen Snapshots window.

Request email notification to a specified email address whenever a keyword is detected. The email notification contains detailed information including the keyword, the user, the computer, the time, and where the keyword was found. While you're at work and the kids are at home alone, you can be alerted to what they're doing on the computer, while they're doing it.

Increase the number of snapshots taken when a keyword is detected by the system. This gives you as much information as possible about the activity and the context in which the keyword was generated.
