By default, Spector Pro begins recording when the Viewer is closed and Windows is started (see View Options for other choices), and stops recording whenever you open the Viewer.
There may be times, however, when you are recording and you want to temporarily stop. There may be times when you are not recording and you want to temporarily record something. Alternately pause and then resume recording manually each time you press the Recording hotkey sequence.

Make sure that the new hotkey sequence does NOT conflict with any Windows or Spector Pro hotkey sequence, including the sequence that opens Spector Pro. |
To set up the recording hotkey sequence:
From the When To Record pane:
Click Recording Hotkey . The Hotkey window opens.

Select any combination of Ctrl, Shift,
Alt, and the Windows
key
.
Click in the None text box and type any letter or digit.
Click OK to accept your selections, or Cancel to reject them.
Click OK at the bottom of the Settings window to save the changes you have made.
Next
you will review Taking Snapshots Manually.
