eBlaster will recognize certain communications problems and will NOT send the Activity Report. All information that was to be sent will continue to be saved within the program and will be consolidated into a later report for delivery to your computer.
Potential problems that prevent eBlaster from sending Activity Reports to the communications server include:
The monitored computer is NOT connected to the Internet. eBlaster will not automatically connect the computer to the Internet, which helps to maintain the stealth features of the program.
Computers with dial-up modem connections MUST be connected to the Internet in order for eBlaster to deliver an Activity Report. If the computer is not connected to the Internet when an Activity Report is scheduled to be delivered, eBlaster will wait until it detects an Internet connection, at which point it will send the report.
If the computer has a constant connection to the Internet via DSL or cable modem for example, then this will probably not be a problem.
If a custom server was configured, the server address, log on name, or log on password maybe configured incorrectly.
If a firewall is being used on the monitored computer, it may be blocking access to the communications server. Click HERE for more information on circumventing firewalls.
Once eBlaster successfully transmits the Activity Report to the communications server, it is considered “delivered” and a copy of the report will be saved within the “Sent Reports” folder of your eBlaster program. Delivery of the Activity Report to the communications server does not necessarily mean you will receive it in your email Inbox, however, as there are many external factors that can affect the successful delivery of a report.
