eBlaster records events on your computer and stores them in a hidden area of your computer's hard drive. When eBlaster is “scheduled” to send an Activity Report, all recorded information since the last report was sent, is consolidated into an Activity Report. The format of that report can be either text or HTML. The Activity Report is then sent to you via email at your email address.
The following details how an Activity Report is delivered to your email address.
eBlaster initiates sending the report according to the Report Sending Interval.
The Activity Report is transmitted via a email server (by default it is the SpectorSoft email server).
The email is relayed to your ISP, webmail service or company email server.
The email server sends the message to your email Inbox that a new email was received.

Note Your e-mail address is the unique address that identifies your e-mail Inbox to other users on the Internet. It is used by eBlaster to successfully deliver e-mail to your e-mail Inbox. |
The eBlaster communications server is necessary for receiving the Activity from the monitored computer. It receives the compiled information then sends the report to the email server associated with your email address.
eBlaster provides two options for the configuration of a communications server:
By default, eBlaster uses SpectorSoft's communications server that is established for communications of eBlaster users.
If you would rather use a server of your own choosing and you are familiar with email server configuration options, you may configure eBlaster to use either a SMTP or MS Exchange email server, depending on the email system available to the monitored computer. An ISP email server, which receives and distributes your email messages, may be AOL, Yahoo, MSN, EarthLink, ATT or any of thousands of other providers of Internet service or internet email. Each provides email addresses to their customers and every email address requires a server to receive and store email.
Email received from another Internet users end up in your email Inbox. You can access your Inbox in various ways: directly from your Web browser via a Hotmail or Yahoo account; within AOL; or by downing loading the email into email software program like Outlook.
