The default eBlaster email delivery method is to forward an emailed Activity Reports through the SpectorSoft email server from a monitored computer with direct access to the internet. Using this default method, you are limited to sending an Activity Report every 30 minutes.
If you wish to send a report more frequently, you are a Corporate License User or want to capture email attachments larger than 50 kb, you will be required to use one of the following alternative email server settings.
The default method for sending an Activity Report is every 60 minutes and having the report relayed through the SpectorSoft email server. The SpectorSoft server is only used as a temporary relay to forward the Activity Reports to your designated email address. Emails do not reside on the SpectorSoft server once they are forwarded to the customer. Because server configuration can be difficult, eBlaster is preconfigured to do this for ease of use.

Using these options requires advance knowledge of email servers and their applications. Contact your Network Administrator for help with these delivery settings. If you are unsure about using these options - don't. |
If you do not want your emailed Activity Reports to be relayed through the SpectorSoft email server or if you are a Corporate License User, select of one the following email delivery options.
Direct SMTP - See Using a Direct SMTP Email Server

eBlaster now has the ability to use Transport Layer Security (TLS) to add a further level of protection for transmitted eBlaster data on networks using either the Direct SMTP or Relay SMTP option.
If you are also behind a firewall, you may have to set the Delivery Method to via Custom Server and change some settings.
If you are working within a network and the monitored computer requires proxy server to access the internet, use SpectorSoft Email Server with a Proxy Server.
If your SMTP Server requires authentication before it will send a message, select the User Server Authentication. A valid Account Name and Password are required.
You must choose either SMTP or Exchange for email delivery - you cannot choose both.
