Record by Windows User

Use this option to record activity of specific users (per Windows Log on Name). By default, eBlaster is configured to automatically record all Windows user activity. However, you may want to record only certain users. For example: you may want to monitor your child's activity, but not your own.

Notes

  • Windows User Log On Names - If there are multiple users on the monitored computer and it does not require each user to log on under their own user name, then everyone will be using the same Windows user name.  As a result, you will not be able to use the eBlaster Record by User option to differentiate which user to record.

  • AOL Users - Recording by Users applies only to a Windows user log on. It has nothing to do with an AOL user log on name. eBlaster will record all AOL user screen names. eBlaster cannot exclude a specific AOL user.

To enable and add Windows user log on:

  1. Open the eBlaster Control Panel.

  2. From the Top Toolbar, click Options and then from the Left Toolbar, click When to Record. Show Me
The When to Record window is displayed.

  3. From the Recording by Windows login, select Only record the following users check box.

  4. Click Add.
    The New
    User dialog box is displayed.

  5. Type user log on name and click OK.

  6. Click Save to save changes
    or
click Cancel if you do not want to save your changes.
The Control Panel closes if you click Save.

To delete Windows user log on:

  1. Open the eBlaster Control Panel.

  2. From the Top Toolbar, click Options and then from the Left Toolbar, click When to Record. Show Me
The When to Record window is displayed.

  3. From the Recording by Windows login, select the user and click Delete.

  4. Click Save to save changes
    or
click Cancel if you do not want to save your changes.
The Control Panel closes if you click Save.
