Report Delivery Using Transport Layer Security (TLS)

If you are utilizing the Direct SMTP or Relay SMTP method of Activity Report delivery, and the ISP or SMTP server that you are using supports it, eBlaster  will send your reports using TLS.

Configure TLS Report Delivery

  1. Open the eBlaster Control Panel.

  2. From the Top Toolbar, click Options and then from the Left Toolbar, click Report Delivery. Show Me
The Report Delivery window will display.

  3. Click Advanced.
The Delivery Options dialog box is displayed.

  4. In the Delivery Method option, choose either Direct SMTP or Relay SMTP option depending on your configuration.

  5. In Under the Send Reports To text box, type the email address where the Activity Reports will be sent.
You can also customize by adding a From address as well as creating your own Subject line.

  6. Click Options.

  7. From the Transport Layer Security option, use the drop-down box to choose either Use if Available or Required depending on your configuration.
If you are unsure of whether or not your SMTP server utilizes TLS, choose the
Use if Available option.  This will ensure that if available, the TLS protocol will be utilized. If the SMTP server does not use TLS, eBlaster will send the email using the standard protocol with no ill effects.

  8. Select Validate Server's Certificate check box to validate the receiving server security.
This adds a further level of security by ensuring the receiving server's security information can be validated by eBlaster before sending email messages.
