By default, eBlaster is already configured to communicate with the communications server, so you do not need to find email server address, logons, or passwords. SpectorSoft does NOT store the Activity Reports that pass through the communications server, but they do temporarily reside on the server before the Activity Report is transmitted to your email address.
Blocked Email Occasionally, the ISP’s email server used for the delivery of your email to your Inbox may block the receipt of email from SpectorSoft’s email server. Though rare, some email servers are using new “blacklists” that can mistakenly block email from thousands of sources without your knowledge. This is an unfortunate result of the growing Internet spam problem.

We recommend that you contact your ISP about these “blacklists” and encourage them to use other spam blocking methods so your legitimate email is not lost. The other option is to change the email address used to receive eBlaster reports. |
Secure Server You may feel more secure using your own email server to pass your recorded information, but remember, SpectorSoft does NOT store the Activity Reports that pass through its communications server. They merely reside temporarily on the server before they are transmitted to your email address.
Quicker Delivery Activity Report could be delivered quicker because your ISP email server may not be as busy as SpectorSoft’s email server.
Forward Email Attachment Size Limit If using the SpectorSoft email server to relay forward email attachments, the maximum attachment file size is 50 kb. If using an alternate email server to relay forward email attachments, any file size will be accepted.
If the computer being recorded is behind a corporate firewall, access to SpectorSoft’s communication server will likely be blocked. This would require you to make requests to you Network Administrator to work around this problem. Access to the local email server, such as Exchange, is typically not a problem on a corporate network.

Note Like almost all other email sent via the Internet, transmission of the Activity Reports across the Internet is NOT encrypted and could be open to access by unscrupulous individuals. You have the option to send the Activity Report in a pass-word protected .ZIP file. |
