Using the SpectorSoft Server with a Proxy Server

If using the SpectorSoft email server to relay the Activity Reports to its final destination and the monitored computer does not have direct access to the internet, you will need to identify the proxy server in your network that has internet access.

To configure a Proxy Server:

  1. Open the eBlaster Control Panel.

  2. From the Top Toolbar, click Options and then from the Left Toolbar, click Report Delivery. Show Me
    The Report Delivery window is displayed.

  3. Click Options.
    The Delivery Options dialog box is displayed.

  4. Select SpectorSoft and click Options.
    The SpectorSoft Server Options dialog box is displayed.

  5. Click Use Proxy Server.

  6. In the Address text box, type the address (either IP or Named) of the proxy server.

  7. In the Port text box, type the port.

  8. Click OK to return to Delivery Options dialog box.

  9. Click OK to close dialog box.

  10. Click Save to save changes
    or
    click Cancel if you do not want to save your changes.
    The Control Panel closes.
