eBlaster will continually record information for generating reports. The Activity Report will be generated from the recorded information according to the Report Sending Interval.
Activity Reports can be sent either:
Automatically - The report can sent once a day at a specific time or periodically according to a schedule you establish. This is configured from the Control Panel >> Options >> Report Delivery
Manually - The current Activity Report can be manually:
viewed from the
Control Panel >> Current Report Delivery >> view Current eBlaster
Activity Report
or
sent from the Control Panel >> Current Report Delivery >> Send Report
When eBlaster determines that it is time to generate a report, according to the configuration, it will verify that there is an active connection to the Internet. If there is NOT a connection to the Internet at the time the Activity Report should be delivered, eBlaster will continue to record information and will send the Activity Report the moment it detects a connection to the Internet has been established.
Once the Activity Report is sent, eBlaster will resume recording information for the next Activity Report scheduled to be sent. It is important to realize that there may be significant delays in receiving an activity report if the monitored computer does not frequently connect to the Internet.

Note In order to avoid delivering Activity Reports that contain information for times that there is not a user on the eBlaster computer, there is an Inactivity Timeout configuration. When eBlaster detects that there has not been keyboard or mouse movement for this amount of time, it will stop recording. The Activity Report will still be sent at the next reporting interval if the computer is connected to the Internet. If the user has walked away from the computer and it is not connected to the Internet, there may be a long delay in receiving the Activity Report as you will need to wait for the user to return and connect to the Internet. |
