The Application Summary section lists all Windows programs that were active for a specific Windows user during the report time frame. The Windows programs listed are sorted by the Active Time starting with the most to the least total active time.
Application This column lists the name of the Windows program that was executed. For most programs this will be the name of the EXE file that Windows executes to run the application. Often this name will not describe the name that the Windows program is commonly recognized as and eBlaster will attempt to display the commonly known name for the most popular Windows programs.
Start Time Lists the date and time that the Windows program was first executed.
Total Time Lists the total time that the Windows program was running. This counts the time the program was first executed (Start Time) until the time the program was closed. If a program was executed and then minimized on the Windows task bar for twenty (20) minutes, the Total Time would list twenty (20) minutes even though the user may not have used the program at all.
Active Time Lists the total time that the Windows program was running and had the Windows focus. Having Windows focus means that the program was selected as the active window by the user. There can only be one active program within Windows at a time, and if a program is minimized on the task bar it cannot be active. Note that the Active Time only calculates how long the program was considered to be the focus window and does not necessarily indicate the user actively using the program for that length of time - the user may simply have left their computer or they were talking on the phone. The Active Time information is most useful when eBlaster has been configured for a longer report delivery frequency. In this configuration, the Active Time will reflect the actual time a user spent using a program during a longer time frame.
Character Count Number of Keystrokes typed.
