The E-mail Summary section lists all e-mails sent or received from the computer for a specific Windows user during the report time frame. eBlaster supports recording of the Internet standard POP3 and SMTP e-mail that is commonly accessed in Outlook. eBlaster also supports recording of all AOL e-mail and corporate e-mail through Microsoft Exchange using Outlook. eBlaster will record e-mail sent and received through many of the Internet e-mail sites like Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL, and Earthlink.net. The e-mail Summary will display the e-mails sorted by the time they were sent or received starting with the oldest e-mail and ending with the most recent e-mail.
When the e-mails are forwarded they will retain their original TO, FROM, and DATE fields. The SUBJECT will remain the same except a string will be appended to the beginning of the SUBJECT field in the following format: [xxxx-snd/rcv-eBlaster]. xxxx is the corresponding e-mail ID in this E-mail Summary section of the Activity Report and snd/rcv denotes whether the recorded e-mail was being sent or received.
ID This column lists a four (4) digit e-mail ID that corresponds with the e-mail ID listed in the subject field of the actual e-mail forwarded to your e-mail inbox. This ID will allow you to more easily correlate the e-mail summary information in your Activity Report with the entire recorded e-mail. If you see an e-mail in the E-mail Summary table that you are interested in viewing in its entirety, simply scan through your e-mail inbox and look for the e-mail with the subject of [xxxx-snd-eBlaster] where xxxx is the e-mail ID in this column.
TO This column lists the address the e-mail was being sent to. If this was an e-mail that was recorded as being received on the eBlaster computer, the TO column will most likely be the e-mail address of the monitored computer. If this was a recorded e-mail being sent from the eBlaster computer, the TO column will list the address to which an e-mail was being sent.
FROM This column lists the address the e-mail was being sent from. If this was an e-mail recorded as being sent from the eBlaster computer, the FROM column will most likely be the e-mail address of the monitored computer. If this was an e-mail recorded being received on the eBlaster computer, the FROM column will list the address that the e-mail came from.
SUBJECT This column lists the contents of the subject field for the e-mail that was recorded. This e-mail will be forwarded to your e-mail address and will have the same SUBJECT with the identification string "[xxxx-snd-eBlaster]" appended to the beginning of the SUBJECT.
TIME This column lists the date and time that the e-mail was recorded on the eBlaster computer.
BODY CONTENT SUMMARY The contents of the recorded e-mail will be summarized following the listing of the e-mail in the E-mail Summary. The Activity Report will display three (3) lines or five hundred and twelve (512) characters of the e-mail. To review the e-mail in its entirety you must access the e-mail forwarded to your inbox, which is the same location where you access your eBlaster Activity Reports. The format of the recorded e-mail will affect whether the BODY CONTENT SUMMARY displays useful information describing the content of the e-mail. E-mail captured in AOL may show AOL header information instead of the content of the e-mail. E-mail in HTML format, may show HTML formatting information instead of the content of the e-mail.
