The Internet Sites Accessed section lists all Internet Web sites visited on the computer for a specific Windows user during the report timeframe. The Internet Sites Accessed are sorted by the Active Time if eBlaster is configured to "show only root URLs." The Internet Sites Accessed will be listed starting with the most to the least total active time. The Internet Sites Accessed are sorted by the Start Time if eBlaster is configured to display the entire URL. The URLs will be listed starting with the most recent accessed. eBlaster supports the recording of Internet Sites within Microsoft Internet Explorer, AOL, MSN Explorer, and Netscape 4.
Active Time Lists the total time the Internet Web site was selected in the Internet browser and the Internet browser had the Windows focus. Having Windows focus means that the Internet browser was selected as the active window by the user. There can only be one active window within Windows and if a window is minimized on the task bar it cannot be active.
For example: www.spectorsoft.com was accessed in a browser
at 9:41 AM, the user selected their MS Word application at 9:43 AM, the
user again selected the Internet browser application that was displaying
the www.spectorsoft.com site at 9:47 AM, the
user minimized their Internet browser application at 9:50 AM, and then
the user closed the minimized Internet browser application at 10:15 AM.
The Active Time would be five
(5) minutes and the Total Time
would be twenty-eight (28) minutes. Note that the Active
Time only calculates how long the Web site was considered to be
the focus application within Windows and does not necessarily indicate
that the user was reviewing the Web site for that length of time…they
may simply have left their computer.
The Active Time information is most useful when eBlaster has been configured
to record "Root URLs
Only" and when the report frequency is set for longer timeframes.
In this configuration, the Active Time will reflect the actual time a
user spent accessing consecutive pages on an entire Web site like www.hotmail.com
instead of showing the active time for each individual page accessed within
www.hotmail.com.
Start Time Lists the date and time the Internet Web site was first accessed.
Total Time Lists the total time that the Internet Web site was displayed in the Web browser. This only counts the time from when the Web site was first accessed (Start Time) until either another Web site was accessed or the browser was closed. If a Web site was opened and then minimized on the Windows task bar for thirty (30) minutes, the Total Time would list thirty (30) minutes even though the user may not have viewed the web site at all.
Web Site URL Lists the actual URL or address of each Web site visited. To access the Web site, click the URL. If the Only Root URLs option is selected, you will only see the Web site domain name displayed in this column. For example: You will see www.hotmail.com instead of http://www.hotmail.com/whateverpage.html.
Note: In some cases the click the URL will be unable to display the web page on your computer because it contains information specific to the computer that originally accessed the site - you may not be authorized to view the page.
