Data
Vault
The Data Vault automatically removes data files older than 30 days (by default) or as specified on the Data Vault Properties panel. It's important to remove data regularly to free up Data Vault space for new recordings. By using Archiving with "purging," you now exactly when data is purged and where it goes, making it easier to restore, if necessary.
To purge the Data Vault:
In the Control Center's left pane, right-click on Control Center > Properties. Select the Data Vault tab.
Click the Archiving button near the bottom of the Data Vault panel.
The following settings
archive & purge the previous month's data

In the Data Vault Archiving box, check Archive Data and Purge Original Data.
Set a Frequency and age of data for the purge. For example, you may wish to purge data more than 30 days old once a month in order to keep the most recent 6 month's data available with any new data.
The Archive data more than days old most be MORE than the Save Files For days setting (default is 30 days) on the Data Vault Properties panel.
Use the Browse button to set the Archive To destination such as a CD-RW drive, a USB device, or a remote disk drive. You can always move archive folders off the Data Vault computer using the Windows file system. If you select a location on a remote computer, you are prompted to enter credentials for the computer. Click Yes at the prompt, then enter domain network account credentials with Administrative access on the target computer (Domain Administrator). Click OK on the credentials box to set the Archive To location.
Click OK on the Data Vault Archiving box to set the purge schedule.
To purge data from the Data Vault immediately:
Use the Archive Now option to immediately clean old (or all) data from the Data Vault computer.
In the Data Vault Archiving box, check Archive Data and Purge Original Data.
Set the age of data (frequency has no meaning) to purge. For example, use Archive data more than 7 days old to clean out everything more than a week old. If you use 0, the Data Vault will be completely cleaned out. The archived data will be available at the Archive To: folder location.
