Data
Vault
The Data Vault service receives, processes and stores recorded data from every Client computer. Installed as a Windows service on the same computer as the Data Vault folders, it simply receives data pushed by the Clients and processes it for storage.
Communication links vital to the Data Vault Service are:
The service must be running and
must have network access to Clients.
See Verify Data Vault Service is Running.
If the network is down, or the Data Vault Service has stopped, Client recordings will not be received. The Clients continue to record, but they store events locally until they are able to deliver the data to the Data Vault, following rules to overwrite the oldest events first when a size limit is reached.
The Data Vault Service must be listening on the established port, IP Port 16769 (default). Make sure no other applications are using this port.
