Category Groups allow you to combine categories into a larger set of web sites. For example, you might group your custom "hate" category with the system "illegal drugs" and "gambling" categories in a single "Blacklist" Group. When you select Management tool, and Category Groups under Website Filtering, you see all Group names, types and descriptions that have been defined in the right pane. If you are just starting, there are no groups listed.
To add a category:
Right-click and select New,
or
Click New on the toolbar. The
New Category Group box opens.
Fill in the fields, as described in New/Edit Category Group.
When you are ready, click Save and Close to save the Group and return to Category Group Management.

You can add to and update a Category list even when the Category is currently being used by a Filtering Rule. Your changes are automatically applied to the filter. |
To edit an existing group:
Select a group in the Category Group Management right pane, right-click, and select Edit.
