All Dashboard users should change their passwords from time to time to
ensure security of the recorded data.
If you are not prompted to enter a password each time you start the Dashboard, then your Windows login is being used for authentication. As a Dashboard user with Windows authentication, changing your password requires changing your Windows login password.
If you are a Dashboard user with SQL Server authentication, you can use the Management tool to change your own password, as described in this Help topic.
A Dashboard Master login can set and change the password for any Dashboard SQL Server login. Only the SA (System Administrator) Master login can change the SA SQL Server password.
To change your SQL Server authentication password:
Click the Management button in the navigation pane, and select Dashboard Logins at the top of the navigation pane.
Double-click the login account in the right pane (or right-click and select Edit). The Edit Dashboard Login window appears.
On the window's toolbar, click Change Password.

A message tells you that you will have to restart the Dashboard or login again using your new password after you change it. Click Yes to continue.
In the Change Password window, enter
your current password. Then type your new password and type it again to
confirm it. Click OK.

If you have changed your own password, close Dashboard and open it again to log in with your new password.
