Management - Click to Enlarge |
The Dashboard Management tool allows Dashboard Master logins to manage core data resources (computers, domains, programs, and users) as well as other Dashboard users. It allows any Dashboard users with SQL Server authentication to change their passwords. If you are not a Master user, you cannot change or group the resources in the Management folders.
If you don't see the Management button, it may be hidden. Show me.
To view a Management folder:
Click the Management button at the bottom of the navigation pane.
Select a folder at the top of the navigation pane. In the right pane, resources or data within the folder are listed.
If you are a Master user, double-click or right-click a folder item to perform an available function. Your Dashboard login may limit your ability to use Management functions.

It is not possible to edit, move, or create new Management folders. |
In addition to managing Dashboard login accounts, the Management tool allows a Master Dashboard login to clean up and simplify criteria selection lists for Dashboard users.
Some management tasks include:
Manage
Logins
Add new Dashboard login accounts, change passwords, and set permissions
for Dashboard users.
Manage
Users
Organize Users by editing user names to make them easier to read and
find in the Dashboard. Create user groups to assign access to Dashboard
login accounts and to simplify selecting users
as criteria.
Manage
Computers
Organize computer lists by editing computer descriptions (to make them
easier to find and read in the Dashboard). Create computer groups that
Dashboard users can select as criteria.
Manage
Domains
Organize domains by creating domain groups. Add domains that you expect
to see in user activity recordings.
Manage
Programs
Organize programs by editing program names (to make them easier to
read and find in the Dashboard). Create program groups that Dashboard
users can select as criteria.
Schedule
Reports
Select any report from the Reports folders to be automatically produced
and distributed on a regular basis.
Website
Filtering
Define category lists of web sites to allow or block. Set up rules
that use the categories, and apply the rules in order of priority to create
a filter for web usage at your organization. The filtering is applied
via a service, and can be updated and refined while in place, without
altering the Client.
Manage
the Database
Backup all data, archive databases, restore as needed, and view all
database jobs and job history.
