Master Dashboard Login Only

The Dashboard Management tool lists all domains detected in recorded activity in the Domains folder. Domains Management lists domains already known to Spector 360. If you have just started using Spector 360 this list (and the lists available for Dashboard criteria selection) may be short or even empty until more recording data comes into the database. You can add domains that you might expect to see in the future.

Viewing the List of Domains

The Dashboard lists all detected domains in the Domains folder under Management.

To view the list:

Click the Management button in the navigation pane. Select the Domains folder in the upper portion of the navigation pane. A list of domains appears in the right pane, with all numerical domain addresses shown first.

Define Domain Groups

For a system with many users, the Master administrator may want to define User Groups to simplify managing users and selecting criteria.

Adding Domains to Web Filtering Categories

When you see domains you wish to block, simply add them to a Web Filtering category.

To add a domain to a filtering category:

  1. Select a domain, or select multiple domains using the Shift or Ctrl key.

  2. Right-click and select Add to Web Filtering Category. The Select Web Filtering Category box opens.

  3. Select a Custom Category. The domain(s) will be added to this Web Filtering category.

  4. Click OK at the bottom of the Web Filtering Category box. A prompt asks you to verify adding the selected domain(s) to the category.

  5. Click OK.

Using Domains as Criteria

The list of domains in Domains Management is the list available for Event Criteria selection. For many event types, you can include or exclude specific domains or domain groups.  Because this list gets very long, it's much easier for a Dashboard user to select from a short Domain Group list to report on positive, neutral, and/or negative Internet events.
