The Dashboard Management tool lists all programs that have been detected on the recorded network computers. All Dashboard users can view the list of programs. Master Logins can rename and organize programs into groups, greatly increasing the efficiency of Dashboard Criteria selections.
To view programs on your system:
Click the Management button in the navigation pane.
Select the Programs folder at the top of the navigation pane. All programs found on the network appear in alphabetical order in the right pane.
Double-click a program to change its display name; click a column heading to re-sort the list.

Program Name: The program name as detected on the network. You can edit this name to achieve a more readable program list.
Executable name: The name of the executable file.
Description: A brief description of the program, as taken from the executable properties.
Every company and every department in a company has one or two programs that are essential to the work accomplished. Charting one or more "Productivity" programs instantly calls out users doing work and lets you know whether or not a program is truly useful to users. Conversely, tracking "Unacceptable" programs, such as games, allows you to pinpoint where and by whom Acceptable Use Policy is being violated.
Dashboard users can track programs individually or as groups by selecting them in criteria. Because the list of programs to select from can be overwhelming, it makes sense to define Program groups. The Dashboard user then selects the "Productivity" or "Unacceptable" group from a much shorter list.
See Event Criteria Settings: Programs for more about using programs as selection criteria.
