The Reports provide all the power of the Quick View charts in a more traditional presentation format, ready for printing and reviewing. Five types of reports are available:
Quick View: The majority of Dashboard's predefined reports are in this format, showing a Quick View graphic (bar, pie, or spline chart) followed by a table of data. All activity types allow Trend charts provide a bird's eye view of all activity over time.
Aggregate: These reports aggregate data for useful summary totals on users, computers, and activities.
Activity Detail: These reports show data fields from each recording for a detailed view of activity.
User Summary: These reports capture the activity of one user within the specified time criteria.
Statistics Reports: These report gather statistics from the database by user, computer, or event. More...
You can adjust the Criteria and the Report Settings for any report, except Statistics Reports. From the Report Preview window, print, export, or email any report in just a few clicks.

A Master Login can schedule reports to be automatically generated and delivered on a regular basis. For example, receive File Transfer reports by email, in a file folder, or on a printer, every Monday morning before you even open the Dashboard. |
To manage reports from the right pane:
Double-click a report to view it in the Preview window. Select a report, right-click and choose one of the following options
New > Folder - Create a new report folder in the left pane.
New > Report - Start the new report wizard. More...
Copy the report.
Paste the copied report into a folder.
Delete the selected report.
Rename the report.
Edit Description - Change the report's description. More...
Refresh (F5) the view of reports.
Criteria - Open the Criteria box, where you can select which data to include in the report. More...
Settings - Open the Report Settings box, where you can adjust how the data is presented. More...
The Dashboard provides predefined reports for every activity type in the left navigation pane. The "Favorites" folders provide ideas for creating and collecting reports you most often need to see.
To view a report:
Click Reports in the lower navigation pane.
Select a Reports folder at the top of the navigation pane to view its list of reports in the right pane.
Double-click a report in the right pane
of the Report tool window. If the report Criteria is NOT a Statistics
report, the Criteria box opens.

On the Criteria box, click
OK to accept the default criteria or make adjustments to the General
and/or Event Criteria. General
Criteria includes dates, computers, and users to include in the report.
Event Criteria depends on the type of activity being reported.
General Criteria allows you to set the report date

You can select Bypass Criteria Dialog in the General Criteria box to go straight to the report without displaying the Criteria box the next time you open this report. |
When you click OK,
the report appears in a Preview window.

You can adjust, print or export the
report from the Preview window. More...
When you are finished, close the Preview window by clicking the Windows
X close box or the Close
button on the toolbar.
