How do I know how much email are employees sending and receiving via Web mail, such as Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL, etc.?
The Spector 360 Dashboard provides predefined charts that give you an instant answer.
Display Webmail charts:
Select the Quick View tool. Click on the Email - Webmail Only pane in the left navigation pane. Three predefined charts appear. You can adjust the criteria to get the view of Webmail usage that you want.
"Users Frequenting Webmail" shows the top 10 users of webmail.
"Domains Involved in the Most Webmail" shows the top 10 domains used for webmail.
"Users Sending the Most Webmail" shows the top ten people sending webmail.
Modify date criteria as needed:
Click the Criteria button below any chart and change the "Date" under General Criteria to a range that provides the most useful view of your data. For example, how much webmail traffic occurred Last Week? The settings you make for each individual chart will remain in effect on your Dashboard until you change them. A "Custom Criteria" label appears next to the chart in the Quick View panel.
The Event Criteria for all of these charts is set to the email "Type" of Webmail and does not require changes.
