The Online Search Rules box allows you to modify the existing Domain/Search Tag associations used to find search queries, and to create new ones. This box appears when you right-click on Online Search Rules Management panel and select New or Edit.  New displays a blank Search Tag field; Edit displays the selected search tag and its associated domains in the Selected Domains list.

Opens to the selected search tag and shows associated domains

Test a Search Tag

To make sure you add a domain to the correct tag, or add the correct new search tag, use the Test function. The test identifies the domain, the search tag, and the query. If the search tag is unknown to Spector 360, you can enter one of the search words, and Spector 360 will pick out and add the correct tag for you.

To discover which search tag to use:

  1. Conduct a search at the web site you'd like to add to the Online Search rules.

  2. Copy (Ctrl+C) the URL for the Search Results page.

  3. In the Online Search Rules box, click Test.

  4. Paste (Ctrl+V) the URL in the Search URL field.

  5. Click Parse.
