When program activity is recorded and appears in the Dashboard, many programs have cryptic names. This can make it hard for a Dashboard user to identify the correct program(s) when selecting criteria. You can use the Management tool to change and simplify names of important programs.

Changing a program's display name in the Dashboard does not change the program executable name. It only affects Dashboard criteria lists, as well as charts and reports where program names appear. |
To change a program name:
Select Management and Programs.
Scroll through the list in the right pane, or type the first letter of a program name to find the desired program. For example, type V to jump to vb6 (Visual Basic).
Right-click the program and select Edit, or click Edit on the toolbar.
In the Edit Program window, type a more
descriptive program name. Click OK.
