When you create a new Dashboard login, the login account inherits the Spector 360 Dashboard default settings, or profile. The Dashboard allows you to Copy a login and apply the profile to a New User or to one or more Existing Users. Profile settings include:

For example, using a Master login Admin1, you can:

Admin1 will be your template.  Simply Copy the Admin1 login to create new Dashboard logins, modifying each login to have Standard login permission with limited access to users. Each login, however, will inherit the same user groups, the same domain groups, the same global criteria settings, and the same customized charts and reports through the profile.    

Give your Dashboard logins the same groups, default settings, and report formats to facilitate training, troubleshooting, and standardized reports.

Copying a Profile

To copy a profile to an existing Login:

  1. Select Management and the Dashboard Logins folder.

  1. Right-click on the account you want to use as a template and select Copy. The Copy Profile box appears.

  2. Select Existing User if you are copying the profile to an existing Dashboard Login. When you select this option, the existing logins appear in the Copy Profile box.

  3. Select the Logins to receive the profile.

  4. Click OK. The profile is now applied to the existing Login(s).

Copying the Profile to a New Login Account

To copy a login and create a new account:

  1. Select Management and the Dashboard Logins folder.

  2. Right-click on the login to use as a template and select Copy. The Copy Profile box appears (see above).

  3. Select New User. No other selections are necessary on this box.

  4. Click OK. The New Dashboard Login window appears.

  1. Enter the new Dashboard login name, display name and Password.

  2. Make changes to authentication, access type and login type as desired.

The following characters are blocked as passwords and if used will be ignored:  / | ' " [ ] { } ( ) , ; ? * ! @ $ \ or <space>.  Do not use these characters when setting up SQL Authentication.

  1. Click Save and Close. The new login will have all of the profile settings (Global Criteria, charts, reports, and groups) as the login it was copied from.
