Master Login
Dashboard Logins under Management Folders lists all currently defined Dashboard user accounts (for the current SQL Server instance). Only a Master login can view, create, and edit the login accounts. Each Dashboard user should have a login account. When you create a Dashboard Login account, the account is automatically added to the database with the permissions specified. As part of the login account, each user also receives a Dashboard profile that can provide custom criteria, custom charts and reports, and predefined groups of users, computers, and domains.
To view Dashboard Logins:
Select the Management tool and the Dashboard Logins folder.

Initially, the right pane lists only the System Administrator (SA) MASTER account and one or more Service Account logins used by Spector 360 services to access the database. For account, the Dashboard Logins Management pane shows:
Display Name: The name of the user (used by the Dashboard). The Display Name can be any name. It is used only by the Dashboard and is defined when the login is created. You can change the Display Name at any time. More....
Login Name: The name the user uses to log in to the Dashboard and Database. If the login was created to use Windows authentication, this will be the user's Windows login name. If the login was created to use SQL Server authentication, this can be any login name.
Authentication: Indicates whether the login account uses Windows authentication or has an SQL Server username and password. More...
Login Type: Indicates whether the login account has Master, Standard, or System privileges. More...
Click on any column heading to re-sort the list of logins.
Before setting up Dashboard login accounts, consider the role of the user. Most users need only a Standard Login account. The login type (Standard or Master) gives the user access to Dashboard and Database functionality, as described in Dashboard Login Types.
For each type of account, you can also define which people and types of events (Chat/IM, Keystrokes, Screen Snapshots, etc.) this Dashboard login has permission to monitor, as described in Adding/Editing a Login. For example, managers and executives can all be Standard Logins, but have different privileges. Managers should view recordings of users in their department, whereas executives may need to see charts showing recorded data from all users. Some managers may need to view Email Activity, but not Network Activity. Be sure to limit viewing privileges to the Dashboard login's responsibility area.
