Exporting to various standard file formats allows you to view and manipulate data (or graphics) in other programs. You can export Quick View charts to various graphic file formats, such as JPEG or bitmap, and the data to file formats, such as xml, html, xls, or text.
To export a chart or grid from Quick View:
On the chart or grid you want to export,
click the Menu button (or right-click)
and select Export.
A Save As dialog box appears.
If a Chart is currently displayed,
Save As will offer graphic file type options.
If a Data table is currently displayed,
Save As will offer data file type options.
Next to Save in, browse for a destination folder for the export file.
Next to File name, enter a name for the file. The type suffix will be automatically appended.
From the Save
as type list, choose a file type.
Graphic file types are:
Bitmap (.bmp)
JPEG (.jpg)
EMF (.emf)
PNG (.png)
GIF (.gif)
TIFF (.tif)
Data file types are:
Microsoft Excel (.xls)
HTML (.htm)
Text (.txt)
XML (.xml)
Click Save. If possible, the exported file opens in the format you selected. For example, data exported to Microsoft Excel will open as an Excel worksheet.
