You can generate reports directly from other views of the Dashboard. The Report function available from Quick View, automatically creates a report to save in a Reports folder or to display in a Preview window. To view the new report in the Reports tool, click the Refresh button.
You can generate a report from Quick View for immediate printing or export, or to store in your reports folder. Keep in mind that if Global Criteria is set for the Quick View chart, when you store it in the Reports folder, it may be using different "Reports" Global Criteria settings.
To report from Quick View:
Click the Reports button under the chart to view a Quick View report in a Preview window, where you can export or print it.
To send a Quick View chart to the Reports folder:
Make sure you have specified non-Global Criteria for the chart if you want the selected General Criteria (date, users, computers) settings to "stick."
Below the Quick View chart, click the
>> button to open a menu.

Select Report
and Create Report. A Create Quick
View Report box appears.

Change the Report Title and Report Description as you wish.
Select the Report Folder where you want to store the report. The folder must exist in the Reports tool. If you do not change the name, description, or folder, the default report with the same name will be overwritten.

To create a report from an Events Window:
From an Events Window (Data Explorer, User Explorer, or Quick View), open the File menu.

Select Create
Report to send a formatted Aggregate Report of the data to a Reports folder.
The Create Events Form Report appears. If you want to view the report
first, select Report > Preview Report
to display it in a Preview window. From the Preview window you
can print or export the report.

Change the Report Title and Report Description as you wish.
Check Include sub-totals in the report if you want a row of subtotals in addition to the Grand Totals for each User or top-level data group.
Select the Report Folder where you want to store the report. The folder must exist in the Reports tool.
To print or export from the Events Window:
Open the File menu, select Print and choose Events, Summary or Aggregates.
Click the >> button on the Navigate pane and select Print or Export Aggregates.
Click the Print or Export button in the Summary pane.
Click the Print or Export button in the Events pane.
Print produces a hard copy and Export produces the specified type of file - both without the formatting that the Report function provides.
To create a Database Statistics report:
In the Management tool select Databases.
Right-click on a STORAGE database or the DATA VAULT database in the list and select View Statistics.
Select the view of statistics you want: Events, Users, Computers. See Viewing Database Statistics.
Click Report at the bottom of the Statistics box and respond to the prompts to name the report and sent it to the appropriate Reports folder.
