The Dashboard view of Online Searches tells you where users are actively searching on the Internet and what they are searching for. Spector 360 captures any search being accomplished by standard search engine techniques.  Use Online Search Event Criteria to focus the Dashboard view of Online Searches on specific keywords, programs, domains, or search engines.

Search for / in Online Search Fields

Narrow online search events that the Dashboard retrieves by searching for specific words.

To search for keywords:

Type the keywords you want to match (for example, "dating") and then select fields in which to find the match. For more about keyword matching, click here.

Programs

Retrieve online search events based on the program used to conduct them (Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc).

To limit events by program:

Specify a program or group of programs you wish to include or exclude. Make a selection from the Programs drop-down list. See Viewing by Program.

Domains

Focus on known web site domains. For example, check out search activity at "monster.com" or "ebay.com."

To limit events by domain:

Specify a domain or group of domains you wish to include or exclude in this query. Make a selection from the Domains drop-down list. See Viewing by Domain.

Search Engine

Focus the Dashboard results on one or more known search engines, such as AltaVista and Yahoo. Keep in mind that Spector 360 records online searches from any site where known search techniques are used; so with All selected you will get results from search engines besides those listed below.
