The Preview window allows you to inspect a formatted Dashboard document before printing or creating a report. The Preview window appears when you:
Open a Report in a Reports Folder.
Select Print > Print Preview from Quick View.
Select any Print option (except Print Contents) from an Events Window.
Select File > Report > Preview Report from an Events Window.

A menu bar is provided at the top of the Reports Preview window. Help is the same as the main Dashboard Help menu.
File menu:
Page Setup - Open a standard Page Setup window where you can set paper size and source, page orientation (Portrait/Landscape), and margins.
Print
- Display a Print dialog allowing you to select a printer and print
options before printing.
Print
- Print directly to the default printer (not available on Reports Preview).
Exit - Exit the Preview window.
Window menu:
Use to switch focus back to the main Dashboard window or any other open Dashboard window.
The toolbar at the top of the Reports Preview contains the following buttons:

Search - Search the page for a match. Options: Match Case, Match whole word, Search up, Find Next |

Hand Tool - Use the Hand Tool to move around the page to view the entire page. Click and drag to view a different area when using zoom in function at a high magnification. |

Print - Display a Print dialog allowing you to select a printer and print options before printing. |
|
|
Print Direct - Print directly to the default printer. |
|
|
Page Setup - Display a Page Set dialog, allowing you to set paper size, orientation, and margins. |

Header and Footer - Display a box allowing you to align, set fonts, and set the content of a page header and footer for the printout (not available for Report previews). Show me.

Scale - Scale the data printout by percentage or to fit on 1 more page widths (not available for Report previews). Show me.

Note: The current Zoom Factor is displayed in the lower right-hand corner. When you zoom out under 100%, the magnification changes by 5%. When you zoom in over 100%, the magnification changes by 10%.

Magnifier - Change the cursor to the Magnifier tool. Use the Magnifier cursor to click on the page and toggle between 100% and "fit page to window" magnification. Click this tool on the toolbar again to return to the regular cursor. |

Zoom In - Click to zoom in and enlarge the page in the window. |
|
|
Zoom Out - Click to zoom out to see more of the page in the window. |
|
|
Zoom - Select a zoom magnification: Text Width fits all text in the window, Page Width fits the graphical page in the window, or select from 25% - 500%. |

Page Controls - Go to the first page, back one page, forward one page, or to the last page. Used for reports with multiple pages. |

|
Watermark - Allows you to select a text or graphic watermark to place on, over, or behind the report. See Report Watermark. |

|
Export Document - Allows you to export the report to a document format. Click the Export button to display a Save As dialog where you can select a file type. Click the down-arrow to display and select the file type. See Exporting Reports. |

Send E-mail - Allows you to send the report as a document attached to an email, via your default email address. Click the button to open a Save As dialog; click the down-arrow to display and select the file type. See Sending reports by email. |

Close Preview - Closes the Report Preview. |
If the selected fields cannot be
displayed on one page in a Detail or Aggregate report, they will spill
across onto another page. Try using the Report
Settings to remove fields that are not needed for the report.
You can grab and drag the margin indicators on the Preview page to change the page margins, but be careful not to cut off the view of important data.
