The Preview Reports window provides a number of ways to enhance the report or printout. Adding a watermark, such as "Draft," "Confidential," or your company's logo facilitates document tracking and security. Dashboard gives you two types of watermarks to choose from: text or picture.
A text watermark
Dashboard provides a list of predefined text watermarks for your convenience so that you can quickly mark a document "Confidential," "Do Not Copy" or "Urgent." You can also type in any text you want for the watermark. Dashboard lets you customize the watermark text by changing its color, font style, incline, transparency and placement on the page.
To add a watermark to a document:
Display the document in the Preview window (double-click to open the report, or Print the Event window Content, Details or Summary).
In the Preview window, click
on the toolbar.
In the Watermark dialog box, select the Text tab.
From the Text drop-down list,
select a predefined watermark, or type your own text in the Text box.
The text appears in the watermark preview pane.

If you wish, adjust the font
by changing:
Font - Select a standard font from the drop-down list.
Font Style - Select Bold or Italic style if desired.
Size - Select a font size 36-144.
Color - Select from three palettes; Create a custom color, or
use Standard Web or System Colors.
If you wish, select an Incline
(slant) for the text:
Vertical - Show Me
Horizontal - Show Me
Forward Diagonal - Show Me
Backward Diagonal - Show Me
If you wish, choose a Transparency for the text. This allows you to see data through the watermark if the watermark is placed on top of the data. Use the slider bar or type a number into the box. The higher the number, the more transparent the text is. Show me.
Set a page range. For example, you may want "Confidential" to appear only on the first page of the report.
Set the Z-Order as described below,
then click OK.
If you set Z-Order In front,
the watermark text will cover any graphic. If you set Z-Order Behind,
the watermark text will be blocked out by the graphic.
You can add a graphic to a report, such as a logo or department symbol.
To add a picture watermark:
Display the document in the Preview window (double-click to open the report, or Print the Event window Content, Details or Summary).
In the Preview window, click
on the toolbar.
In the Watermark dialog box, select
the Picture tab.

Click the Select
Picture button and browse to a graphic file. You can choose a picture
in any standard graphic file format: .BMP, .GIF, .JPG, .PNG, and so on.
Select the picture and click Open
on the Select Picture dialog box. The graphic appears in the watermark
preview pane.
If you wish, adjust the Position:
Clip
to show the graphic at actual size on the page
Stretch
to fill the page with the graphic, both vertically & horizontally
Zoom
to enlarge the picture proportionally to fill the page
If wish, change the picture Alignment:
Place the picture on the page using the Horizontal (Left,
Center, Right)
and Vertical (Top, Middle,
Bottom) alignment. If you have
selected Stretch position, these
settings will not affect the placement.
Check Tiling if the position is Clip and you want multiples of the same picture tiled over the document. Tiling automatically fits as many pictures on the page as possible.
Set a page range and the Z-Order as described below, then click OK.
To specify pages for the watermark:
At the bottom of the Watermark window, select All to place the watermark on all pages or select Pages and specify on which pages you want the watermark to appear.
To place the watermark in front or back of the chart:
Use the Z-order to put the watermark In Front of or Behind the chart and the event data. If the watermark is Behind, it will not cover the graphical chart. If a text watermark is In Front, you can use the transparency setting to allow the graphical chart to show through the watermark.
To remove all watermarks:
Click Clear to remove the text and/or the picture from the preview.
