Scheduling Database Jobs

Master Login

Jobs Management allows you adjust the schedule for database jobs. By giving you the ability to control job schedules, Spector 360 lets you control your server performance.

Simply select the job you wish to schedule and click the Edit Schedule button on the toolbar or right-click and select Edit Schedule.

Backup Jobs
Be aware that backups can take a significant amount of space. Be sure to adjust the Full Backup and Differential Backup job schedules, change the Backup Location, and implement Space Management as needed to avoid overtaxing your resources or storage space.

Archive/Restore Jobs
Although you cannot schedule Archive/Restore jobs directly from Jobs Management, the DB Space Management job can include automatic archives, depending on settings in Space Management.

To set a job schedule:

  1. Choose frequency at which the job Occurs (Daily, Weekly, Monthly).

  2. Choose a Start Time

  3. Select an explicit Daily/Weekly/Monthly or "Once" schedule. See the tables below for more explanation.

  4. For any of the Process DV jobs, you can apply this schedule to one or more OTHER Process DV jobs. Select (mark) the jobs you want to run under this schedule.

  5. Click OK to set the new schedule.

Make sure you do not schedule more than one database job to run at the same time.
