The Spector 360 Client takes screen snapshots of activity on a user's computer. If you are opening Screen Snapshots from the Data Explorer, or if you have selected File/Criteria from the Snapshots Viewer, the Snapshot Selection Criteria window appears.
For Snapshot criteria, you have only General Date Criteria and a single computer or user to select.
To set a date range for the snapshots:
Change the Date criteria
from <Use Global Criteria Settings>
to another date range by selecting from the drop-down list. See Date Criteria for a description of all possible
choices.
To select the computer or user to view:
Choose Computer or User above the selection list to display either a list of computers or users. Selecting Computer will show all activity of ALL users who used the computer. Selecting User will show activity of the user logged in at ANY computer.
From the list of computers or users, select one to view.
To quickly find a selection, click in the list and type a letter. You go to the first occurrence of that letter in the list. You can also click a column header to sort or re-sort the list of computers or users by that field.
The Computer list displays:
Description: The Windows or Dashboard description of the computer
Computer Name: The computer's name on the network
Domain: A named area of the network in which the computer logs on
The User list displays:
Display Name: The Windows or Dashboard name for the user
User Name: The user name, as known on the network
Login Type: Network or Local login
Login Name: The full login name including the domain, if necessary
Domain: A named area of the network in which the user logs on. This appears as the computer name for "Local" users
If you check the checkbox at the bottom of the Snapshots Selection Criteria box, this selection box will NOT appear when you open a Data Explorer Snapshots form. Leave the checkbox blank to receive this prompt for computer or user each time you open the Snapshots viewer. This option has no affect on direct links to Snapshots from User Explorer or Event Details.
