
You can email a Dashboard report immediately,
in a couple of clicks. For example, if "Users Downloading the Most
Files" shows John Smith as the top user for the last 30 days, you
might email the report immediately to John Smith to alert him that he's
showing up as the top user. Use the Send
Email option on the Report Preview window's toolbar.

A Master Login can schedule reports to be automatically generated and delivered by email on a regular basis. Any report in a Reports folder can be scheduled to be delivered to any email address. |
To send the report as an email attachment:
Display the report in the Preview window.
On the Preview window, open the File menu and select
Send To
or click the Send Email button
on the Preview toolbar.

Select an export type.
Page Display Format (.pdf) documents can be opened for viewing in Adobe Acrobat. PDF documents can be locked down for security or can allow comments and editing.
Plain text (.txt) can be opened by any text editor or word processor.
A comma delimited text file (.csv) can be imported to a number of applications for further manipulation.
Microsoft Hypertext Archive Format (.mht) can be viewed in Internet Explorer.
An .xls file can be opened and edited in Microsoft Excel.
An .rtf file retains formatting and can be opened in Microsoft Word for editing.
This option allows you to select a file type of: BMP, GIF, JPG, PNG, TIFF, EMF, or WMF in the Save As dialog box. The entire report is saved as a graphic and can be inserted into another document.
A Save As dialog box opens.
In this box:
Navigate to the folder where you want to save the file.
Type a name in the "File Name" box.
If necessary, select the file type from the "Save as type"
list.
Click Save. A new email automatically opens in your default mail client with the report file you just saved attached.
Address and send the email as you normally do.
