Spector 360 records every instance of a computer's communication with other computers on the network (intranet or internet). Using the Dashboard, you can track connections made between computers within and outside your network, find out where connections are occurring, and who's using the most "bandwidth."
Network Events will alert you to unacceptable use of the network for streaming media, downloads, and other activity. Armed with network usage knowledge, you can prevent virus infections and breaches of security by blocking access, removing applications from computers, or tightening your company Internet use policy.
To view Network Event Details:
Open an Events window for Network Activity and click Load Events to view the detailed Events pane. The following fields are recorded for each event. You can print and export this data for any user.
Start
Time of network event. Network events where recording of connections
began on one day and continue their activity past midnight into the next
day are broken up into two separate events. The second network connection
event will show the network connection event starting at midnight of the
second day and the first event ending at midnight of the first day.
Example If a connection lasts for two days, the first start
time is when the Network Activity begins recording and ends at 11:59:59pm.
The second Network Activity connection will start at 12:00:00am and end
either end again at 11:59:59pm or when the connections ends.

To sort the records by any field:
Click any field column header to list the records A-Z or in numerical sequence by that field. For example, clicking Connections would order the records by number of connections made. Hold down the Shift key and click on column headings to sort by multiple fields (e.g., Connections and Total Bytes).
To select how many records are shown:
Use the tree in the upper-left Navigate pane to select a higher (more records) or lower (fewer records) branch in the Event Group. Click Load Events to see the records for the group branch in the Events pane. This allows you to adjust the data for report and export purposes.
To view a Screen Snapshot of the event:
Select the recording in the Events pane and click View Screen Snapshots. Or, right-click in the Events grid on a record and select Event Snapshot.
To block a web site:
Right-click on the event record with the domain you wish
to block. Select Add to Web Filtering
Category. The Select Web Filtering Category box opens. Add the
domain to a Custom Category (list of domains) that you are currently blocking
in your Website Filtering Rules. Follow the instructions in Adding
Domains as You View Recordings.
