Screen snapshots taken by
the Spector 360 Client provide an indisputable record of what users are
doing. Like a surveillance camera, the Client is
set up to take a picture of the computer screen at a specific frequency
— as often as once per second. Using the Dashboard, you can view a slide
show of everything the user sees on screen during each day of work.
The Dashboard Snapshot Viewer allows you to see a slide show of everything the user sees while working. Useful in investigating potential problem areas or in reconstructing specific scenarios, Snapshots give the clearest possible picture of what happened over time.
Screen snapshots provide a visual record of all activity on a computer. Not only can you tell what the user is doing, you can see how he or she is doing it. Screen snapshots will help you guide users to better work methods, investigate problems, and reconstruct scenarios where data may have been lost.
To access snapshots:
From Data Explorer, select a Screen Snapshots data form. Select a user or computer and date criteria.
From User Explorer, select a user, then select View Snapshots from the toolbar.
From any Events window, Load Events into the detailed Events grid, select an event record from the grid, right-click and select Go to View Snapshots to view the snapshot of that event.
Snapshots are displayed one at a time or as a slide show in the Snapshot Viewer.
