Spector 360 allows a Master Login to define an Alert Profile for an activity type based on fields in the recorded data that match keywords or conditions. Conditions might include a maximum number of file uploads, count of IM messages sent, minutes spent at a web site, or any match from the provided Keyword Groups.
When Spector 360 encounters the Alert Profile conditions within the specified activity, an "Alert Event" is recorded and notification is sent to the appropriate supervisor (an Alert Operator).

Alert Activity is detected within data stored in the Database, and may be based on many conditions in addition to "keywords." Keyword Alerts are generated at the Recorder and are based on a watch list of words and phrases. If your organization uses both types of alerting, be sure to check views of Alert Activity and Keyword Alerts. |
Open the detailed Events window from a chart, report, or form. If you wish, select a group from the Navigate pane to narrow the view of data. Click Load Events above the Navigate or Summary pane to view events within the current selection.
The Summary pane totals events for the selected group.

The Events pane displays the following data for each alert time period, initially ordered by Event Type.

Event Type: The type of activity the user was engaged in when an alert occurred. For example, Keystroke, Web Site, Email, and so on.
Event Count; The number of alerts events that occurred in the activity type during the evaluation period.
Alert Profile: Name of the Alert Profile that detected the alert.
Description: Description of the Alert Profile.
Evaluation Period - Start: Date and time the evaluation time period, as set by the Time Profile and Alert Frequency in the Alert Profile, began. For example, an alert was detected during the hourly alert frequency period that began at 6/4/2009 12:56:50 PM. During the period, one alert is recorded per user, per Alert Profile.
Evaluation Period - End: End of the time period. In the above example, the alert frequency period ended at 6/4/2009 1:56:50 PM.

In the Events grid, click on any record and then use arrow keys or the scroll bar to scroll through the grid. Use the "Play" buttons at the bottom of the grid to move to the Next event, Next Page of events, Last Page of events, or Previous event. Change the number of events shown by selecting a different "branch" in the Navigate pane or a different row in the Summary pane.
To change the display for viewing, printing, or export:
Click on any column header to sort the list of records by data in that field. Hold down the Shift key and click on column headings to sort by multiple fields (e.g., User and Window Caption). Use the View or context (right-click) menu to show or hide columns, drag a column to a different position, or change the Event Data Grouping to approach the data differently.
