Spector 360 Serial Number Registration
The serial number for the Spector 360 product is required to be registered
with SpectorSoft. The registration will enable your Spector 360 installation for the number of licenses
purchased. Each Spector 360 registration is specifc to the computer the Primary Server software component is installed to.
The registration process will generate a unique ID, created by Windows on the Primary Server computer.
This ID, in addition to your product serial number, will be registered with SpectorSoft.
SpectorSoft will generate a unique Unlock Code in response to the serial number registration of the Primary Server.
When the Unlock Code is submitted to the Primary Server software installation, the Primary Server will be enabled for the number of licenses purchased.
The Primary Server will then allow the appropriate number of licensed workstation on your network to be enabled for recording by the Spector Client.
SpectorSoft does NOT receive any private information as part of the registration process, nor is it able to access your network or computers.
Spector CNE software components do not need access to the internet for proper installation and operation.
If the Primary Server software component has access to the internet then you will be able to manually connect to the internet and receive software updates.
After receiving your purchase receipt,
download and install the Spector 360 software according to the instructions you
have received. After installation, if you have not already registered your product serial
number, follow these instructions to register the Primary Server software component for the number of licenses
purchased:
Go to the computer the Primary Server software component is installed and click on the icon in the System Tray.
Select the Register SN button in the Primary Server dialog. You will be presented with your product serial number and a registration code. The registration code contains a unique ID for the installation of your Primary Server software component.

The serial number and registration code must
be submitted to an online registration form which will return an Unlock
Code. If the Primary Server computer has access to the internet via
a browser, simply select the Register button. If the Primary
Server computer does NOT have access to the internet, the serial number
and registration code can be copied into the online registration form
from another computer and then submitted. The online registration
form can be accessed at www.spectorsoft.com/support/360_register.asp.
Once the serial number and registration code have been submitted to the Spector 360 online registration form, you wil be sent an email to the email address used to purchase your software. The email will contain an Unlock Code that will be used to complete the registration of Spector CNE. NOTE: If your software was not purchased directly from SpectorSoft, you will first be required to register as the owner of the software if your reseller has not already registered your ownership information.
Copy and paste the Unlock Code, from the email registration response received from Spectorsoft, into the Primary Server registration dialog. Select the Unlock Serial Number button. You Primary Server installation will be enabled for the number of client licenses purchased and your Spector CNE installation is ready to proceed with Client installations.
