Data Vault

The Spector Client (Client) communicates with the Data Vault to upload recorded events. The Client will attempt to contact the Data Vault every four minutes in order to push recorded events. If the Client is unable to contact the Data Vault, or the Data Vault is not configured to receive recorded events, the Client will keep the recorded events stored in the Data File Folder.

If the Client is able to contact the Data Vault in order to push recorded events, the events will be transmitted to the Data Vault in the background for a maximum of thirty seconds. Any remaining events would be transmitted to the Data Vault on subsequent connections. The Client would only reach this thirty-second threshold if it has been disconnected from the Data Vault for a long period and has accumulated a large number of recorded events in the local Data File.

Once recorded events are pushed to the Data Vault, the Client will delete them from the local Data File every thirty minutes.
