Send SpectorSoft the Log File
Occasionally, you may need to send the Spector Client (Client) log file to SpectorSoft for review. SpectorSoft will use this log file to try to determine the problem. To do this you should first set the log file level on the Client to be at its highest level. This will ensure that as much logging information as possible is recorded on the computer to help the SpectorSoft engineers.

To set the log file level higher:
Select the computer in the Configure Computers view of the Control Center
Right click and select Client Settings
When the Client Settings dialog box opens, select the Security tab
Select the Advanced button
Hit the up arrow on the Log File Level option and set it to 2
Select OK to close the Advanced dialog
Select OK to close the Settings dialog
The monitored computer must be restarted in order for
the new log file level to take effect.
To Access and Send the Log File:
Select the computer in the Configure Computers view of the Control Center
Right click and select All Tasks
Select View Log File
Log File will be displayed in a Notepad window, which will allow you to save the file in a text format. Email the file as an attachment to the Spector CNE Support Staff at cnesupport@spectorsoft.com
